The importance of voting your conscience, especially on an issue of grave importance such as Jewish rights in Judea and Samaria, could not be overstated.
On the historic date of June 7 1967, when Israel finally regained the Land of Judea and Samaria, the Temple Mount, the Western Wall and the rest of Jerusalem including the ancient Jewish Quarter and all that they represent, when three Arab states; Egypt, Syria and Jordan, openly promised to annihilate the Jewish People and take over our land, one would have the right to expect better from our government!
The high ground of Judea and Samaria, including all the communities, all the “settlements” and yes, Ulpana, are critical to Israel's defense and are the only reason why there were no major attacks from our hostile neighbors since 1973!
The Western World, the EU and the Obama Administration may choose to continue to play dumb on the issue of Israel's rights in Judea and Samaria and continue to promote “The Two State Solution,” despite the fact that such a “solution” is not possible practically and politically. In the event of such a “solution,” Israel will no longer be viable or defensible! True, they are promoting the Arab goal of dismantling Israel in stages, but Israel should not participate voluntarily in this macabre joke!!!
Judea and Samaria are our land, historically and legally, so recognized by the League of Nations in 1922. It I time, Mr Prime Minister, for the Jewish State, the State of Israel, to openly state that fact!
Again and again, Israel is not obliged to provide citizenship to a hostile population living among us who want nothing but our destruction. Again, democracy is not a suicide pact!!!
The only relevant UN resolution – Resolution 242 – states clearly that the parties to the conflict, the Arabs and the State of Israel, will negotiate between them a peace agreement without coercion and that the parties, including Israel, will have recognized, secure and defensible borders.
Israel's defensible borders lie at the Jordan River, and no amount of coercion and pressure from the EU or Mr. Obama can change that fact nor the wording of UN Resolution 242!
The facts on the ground are clear: The fake “Palestinians” on our land, as well as their masters, don't want peace with Israel. They want to usurp our land!! The peace agreement with Egypt is a good example. Despite giving up the entire Sinai Peninsula, the peace agreement remained cold, and many provisions of that treaty unfulfilled or totally ignored, and now, after the Egyptian revolution, the treaty hangs by a thread with a great majority of Arabs totally opposed to it!! Treaties in this part of the world are not permanent!! The sad truth is that the Arabs aren't interested in peace with Israel!!
Mr. Prime Minister, under ideal conditions, a wide coalition would be beneficial to the state and the people of Israel. A united people in a national unity government at a time when our nation still faces many challenges and many dangers, would indeed be ideal. However, the wide chasm that still exists between the coalition partners can not be reconciled, between the Likud platform – your platform in the last elections, and the other major players, who still vainly hope for peace with the Arabs, despite all the facts to the contrary and are ready to sacrifice defensible borders and a viable Israel for a chimera!!
Mr. Prime Minister, you can be very persuasive – it is time to present the facts of life to your coalition partners and our friends in the EU as well as the Obama Administration.
