Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Sabina Citron. I am a proud citizen of Israel. But I also lived in Toronto, Canada for some time, too long!
While in Canada, along with my organizations, the Toronto Zionist Council and the Canadian Holocaust Remembrance Committee (later Association) have battled Anti-Semitism and anti-Israel propaganda and we have managed to defeat both a Neo-Nazi organization and a proliferator of anti-Semitic, Anti-Israel propaganda. His name is Ernst Zundel, another Nazi. He is still in prison somewhere in Germany for inciting to hatred and genocide as well as denying the Holocaust!
As you know, most countries of the world adopted the UN Genocide Convention Against Inciting and Committing Genocide (December, 31, 1948).
Each country that has signed the Genocide Convention has adopted its own legislation making it a criminal act to incite to hatred and violence against an identifiable group based on religion, ethnic origin, race, ect...
The UN convention came into being as a result of the genocide perpetrated against the Jewish People - The Holocaust – during World War II.
By the way, I am a Holocaust survivor of several slave labor camps including the death camp of Auschwitz. I am now a member of Just Peace For Israel and we wanted to bring to your attention an outrageous call by the Muslim Brotherhood to “kill all Jews”(!!!) as reported on the front page of the Jerusalem Post, November 27, 2011.
We are surprised and shocked that there was no outrage registered in the press, nor as far as we know, from the Office of the Prime Minister.
This kind of threat can not, must not, be ignored: It is one thing to know what they think. It is quite another, not to challenge this outrageous public statement. Clearly, this is public incitement to genocide!!!
We trust that your office will take immediate and public steps against this outrageous incitement to genocide against our people, which is clearly in violation of international law and the UN Genocide Convention Against Inciting and Committing Genocide.
